ERA Technical Specifications for Interoperability

The ERA Technical Specification for Interoperability (TSI) are specifications drafted by the European Railway Agency and adopted in a Decision by the European Commission, to ensure the interoperability of the trans-European rail system.^[1] The interoperability issues apply to the lines within the Trans-European Rail network.

TSIs are related to

• infrastructure,
• energy,
• rolling stock,
• control-command and signalling,
• maintenance and operation

and are in force since 1 December 2002.
